Voltage drop: rule of thumb vs the real calc on long runs

    The 3 percent target is easy to blow on a long homerun. On #10 copper at 120V and 20A you are near the edge past 100 ft. Do you upsize the conductor or reroute? There is a voltage drop calculator on the site if you want to check a run fast.
